Rare historical Lynyrd Skynyrd plane recovery artifact lot including a piece of steel with white paint from the fuselage (2”x .75”) from their Convair 240 airplane and laminate from the interior of the plane (4”x 2”) from the Lynyrd Skynyrd plane crash on October 20th, 1977, in Galesburg, Mississippi. The material was retrieved by local Dwain Easley who was the first responder to enter the plane and help save 20 lives, and included here is an LOA signed by him. There is also a signed 10” x 8" laser print photo of the band standing in front of the plane a mere three days before crash and signed by Artimus Pyle. Lastly is Artimus Pyle’s signed recollection of plane crash typescript letter “A Thumbnail Sketch of Tragedy.”
