Although the 1946 Pittsburgh Pirates were not an exceptionally good baseball team, it was the debut season of Hall of Famer Ralph Kiner, an incomparable talent who went onto lead the National League in home runs for seven consecutive seasons. Offered here is an Official National League (Frick) baseball signed in black ink by 26 members of the 1946 Pirates, including Kiner as well as Hall of Famer Honus Wagner (a coach at the time), Al Lopez, Elbie Fletcher, Rip Sewell, Babe Dahlgren, Bill Salkeld, Preacher Roe, Al Gionfriddo, Vinnie Smith, Ken Gables, Jimmy Brown, Lefty Wilkie, Al Tate, Bill Baker, Eddie Lieb, Ben Guintini, Jim Hopper, Frankie Zak, Frank Colman, Bob Elliott, and more. The ball is in overall good condition with a couple of spots of light staining. All stamping remains strong, along with bold signatures. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
