Stylish red Versace suit, personally owned and worn by Prince. The blazer has an understated simple closure at the chest, and the pants, size 42, feature a pair of cut-out and see-through mesh triangles at the top, beneath the waistline. Gianni Versace Couture tag present. Purchased by Prince on Melrose with Mayte, he wore the suit in the mid to late 90s. Accompanied with LOA from first wife, Mayte Garcia, which reads, in part: “This red Gianni Versace Couture suit with matching pants (42) was purchased and worn by Prince in the mid 90s…one of his favorite brands which was Versace. Prince’s love for fashion and clothes is well documented. Prince’s first wife, Mayte Garcia wrote in her book ‘The Most Beautiful: My Life With Prince’ We would drive down Melrose in a limo and at each shop pick up racks of clothes…his security would handle the details.” A sharp Prince outfit with impressive provenance directly from his wife Mayte.
