The recent passing of the great John Madden brought to light that Madden football games are not just "a game", but an impactful cultural staple of modern society, spanning generations and inevitably transforming how sports games were made and played. While Madden was an affable guy on camera, it was well known that Madden was one of the more reluctant autograph signers in the realm of football. Thus, it comes without surprise that there has been only a select few authentic signed Madden video games to surface over the years. That being said, we are proud to present this fully intact issuance of Madden 97 on Sega Genesis, complete with the original case, game cartridge, and inner cover sleeve being beautifully hand signed by the late legend in black felt tip marker. Obtained in-person and in excellent condition. As the legacy of the Madden franchise continues, the investment potential of this coveted game will also continue to grow. Game cartridge and manual show signs of use and handling, otherwise fine. Accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
