This 8.5" x 11" Letter on Augusta National Golf Club Letterhead, Dated September 6, 1960, has been personally signed by Robert T. Jones. The item comes encapsulated and authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services.
This Augusta National Invitation letter to past USGA President, Isaac "Ike" Grainger reads as follows. "On behalf of our Admissions Committee, I am pleased to extend to you an invitation to become member of the Augusta National Golf Club. The initiation charge is $2,500 plus tax and the annual dues are $500 plus tax. It should be stated that, while membership carries with it, under a trust arrangement, an interest in the Club's assets, this interest ceases upon resignation or death. Therefore, from a practical standpoint the $2,500 commitment should be regarded as an initiation charge. The Club operates strictly as a private organization during the winter season only...from around the first of November until the middle of May. We would appreciate your letting us have your decision as soon as possible. However, should you desire additional information, please let me know.
