Fantastic typed letter signed on one page of 8.25” x 11.75” Warner Brothers stationary, dated September 30, 1987. The lengthy letter written to Jurgen Jurgens of Berlin, Germany is signed at the conclusion in black ballpoint pen by Stanley Kubrick, and reads, in part: “I thought you would like a up-front copy of the new Maxi single derived from the soundtrack of my new movie, “FULL METAL JACKET,” which will open all over Germany on October 8th. I hope you feel the single is as terrific as I do. It will be released by WEA records on October 2nd. If you would like to see “FULL METAL JACKET,” I would ask you to contact Warner Bros who will be arranging screenings.” Accompanied by a full JSA LOA and the original package contents mentioned in the correspondence, including the vinyl. An incredible offering tying together an iconic Hollywood film and its memorable music.
