This document, dated May 14, 1910, is signed at the conclusion by President William Howard Taft. It is countersigned by Secretary of War Jacob Dickinson. The document is a commission, naming Edwin Bentley the "Lieutenant-Colonel on the retired list of the Army." The document has some folds and is slightly discolored, but is overall in fine condition. The Presidential seal is partially missing. It is accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
