The "Giant of Illinois" Robert Wadlow, grew to an astonishing 8' 11.1" at his death at the age of only 22. He graduated college with the intent of studying law, but the toll his massive size took on his body forced him into a life of touring with the Ringling Brothers Circus. Wearing the largest size shoe ever measured, a 37AA, Wadlow's extreme height doomed him to leg braces in order to walk, oftentimes unable to feel his legs or feet. Still, he always refused a wheelchair. Wadlow took the time to sign the back of this 3.5" x 5.5" photograph of himself standing next to a "normal" sized man. The photograph is encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
