Stunning display hailed by the hobby and national press as the greatest piece of sports memorabilia ever produced. This is the actual printer's proof of the celebrated 1996 signed edition, presented to all 50 players featured within its borders, and considered the ultimate honor by those selected. Upon creation, "Field of Dreams" offered an extremely limited number of the signed edition to collectors at then-unheard of prices, and all 50 pieces were immediately sold out. Few have come to auction, and when they do they consistently sell for in excess of $35,000. They were never produced as an unsigned piece -this is a proof struck to insure quality and most likely to serve as a replacement should any of the edition be damaged in the production and/or signing process. It boasts gorgeous lithographed images printed on bonded 80 lb., 100% acid free, archival grade Teton felt, with the requisite raised "NBA" logo at bottom right, and features headshots of the "National Basketball Association 50 Greatest Players 1946-1996." Well preserved and in fine condition.
