The 1937 New York Yankees were an absolute force to be reckoned with trotting out eight future Hall of Famers onto the diamond in Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Joe McCarthy, Bill Dickey, Tony Lazzeri, Lefty Gomez, Red Ruffing, and Earle Combs. Winning an impressive 105 games with another four more in a dismantling of the overwhelmed New York Giants in five. Original team images of any squad pre-World War II are considered a rarity in the hobby, but over-sized 11" x 14" high quality originals such as this simply don't surface. Offered here is an EXTREMELY rare dual signed 11" x 14" black & white "WIDE WORLD STUDIO" stamped (reverse) photograph by arguably the two most important men on that star stacked squad in Joe McCarthy & The Iron Horse, Lou Gehrig. Gehrig's impeccable "10" signature rest across his chest in stunning black fountain pen with McCarthy adding his signature & personalization to the bottom row of the World Champs. Overall the museum quality original photograph remains in good condition with some minor photograph discoloration in the vicinity of the batboy's image, not affecting the signatures or the photo's overall fine condition & a slight tear to the upper right corner.
