From Miguel Cabrera's first Major League season at the age of 20, it was readily apparent that he was destined for stardom. Hitting 12 homers and 21 doubles in just 87 games, the wide-eyed youngster helped propel the Marlins to the World Championship victory in stunning fashion over the New York Yankees. Over the next two years Cabrera would continue his dominance stacking up two All-Star appearances, 33 home runs per year & a Silver Slugger. His career would continue to blossom from there. This bat was used by the Marlin-turned-Tiger slugger during his 2014 year of play. This SAM MC1 model bat shows outstanding use with a repaired handle crack. The barrel exhibits many ball marks with stitch impressions along with white ball scuffs and blue ink transfers. Cleat marks are visible, as is the impression of a weighted batting donut. A moderate coat of Mota Stick is on the handle. The barrel end has the length "34", weight "32", date "7 21 14", model "MC1", and order "14293" written in black ink. Cabrera's number "24" and the Tigers' weight code "II" are handwritten on both ends in black marker. PSA bat expert John Taube has graded this bat an unprecedented GU 9.5 and is accompanied by a full Letter of Grading Authenticity!
