A unique piece of Marilyn memorabilia that is often associated with the beauties of the era, offered here is an ornately engraved sterling silver cigarette holder with "Marilyn" engraved along the handle, once personally owned by the blonde goddess and gifted by her and gifted to her friend, critic and small-time actor Robert Slatzer. A friend of Monroe's since 1946, Slatzer also claims a romantic relationship with her that culminated in a secret marriage in Mexico in 1952. According to Slatzer, when the couple returned to Hollywood the following week 20th Century Fox studio head Daryl Zanuck demanded the marriage be immediately annulled and thus the marriage certificate was destroyed along with the couple's hopes for a serious public relationship.

The holder exhibits signs of use and aging but has been apparently well preserved for the better part of it's 60+ years of existence. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from Slatzer himself verifying the origins of the holder.
