This is a great part of American comedic history. The duo of Abbott and Costello is known by folks of every age; their timeless acts of "Who's on First?" and dozens of blockbuster films made them immortal. This is a signed check drawn on the account of one half of the duo, Lou Costello. The Bank of America check demonstrates the usual processing stamps and perforations, with the perforations lightly touching the tip of Costello's signature. This check, dated June 20, 1946 is made out to the Sophie Tucker Playground Camp Fund for $100.00. Costello's black fountain pen signature remains strong 70 years after execution and the check stands in overall fine condition. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
