Prior to President George Washington's conquest over the British, starting what we now know as The United States of America, he had a normal job like anyone else, as a land surveyor. At 18, George Washington would take his task very seriously riding through the Virginia countryside navigating & surveying for prospective buyers, little did he know he was developing valuable experience. Washington would soon know the landscape just about as well as anyone for the time, a time where maps were scarce & the forest thick, a valuable skill when trying to navigate units in what would be a historic battle between the British & our founding fathers. Clipped from a document, this ultra-rare variation of George Washington's signature dates from 1750, during his time as a surveyor and has been signed "By Washington SCC." Typically only seen on $75,000+ documents, this offering serves as a more affordable chance to own easily one of the most rare & desirable versions of President's George Washington's autograph! Overall in fine condition, mounted to vintage backing with uneven edges. Authenticated by Beckett/BAS with a full letter of authenticity.
