Offered here is a rare music publishing agreement dated August 9, 1976 between a young Michael Jackson & The Jackson's newly established publishing company, Peacock Music Publishing Company. The agreement gives Jackson a 100% share in the publishing rights to The Jackson's song "Blues Away", which appeared on their first album after leaving Motown Records. It has been signed by "Michael Joe Jackson" and Richard A. Arons on behalf of Peacock Music. As Jackson was just barely 18 years old at this time, it was likely one of the earliest documents in which he represented himself instead of being represented by his father as a minor. In overall fine condition, with some minor handling wear, as expected with such a document. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
