Samuel Colt is best known for mass producing and commercializing the revolver, and is the name behind such well-known firearms as the Colt .45 and all of Colt's Manufacturing Company. The first item we have ever offered signed by Samuel Colt, offered here is a handwritten and signed note dated February 1, 1860, evidently in response to an autograph or other form of request. The note is written on a 5" x 7.75" notebook page with several horizontal creases, but overall in fine condition. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Steve Grad/Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
