Terrific large format photograph with very rare inscription from the photographer that captured 9/11's most powerful moment!
Known as "The Flag Raising at Ground Zero", photographer Thomas E. Franklin captured what is known so far as the most historically significant image of the 21st Century. Taken at approximately 5:01pm in the evening of the 9/11 tragedy, Franklin's image encapsulated a defining moment of hope and patriotism that will live on indefinitely.
Offered here is an 16" x 20" color glossy photo of Franklin's historic image, beautifully hand signed and inscribed "9/11/01 - 5:01pm - Ground Zero" by the famed photographer himself in blue felt tip marker. Obtained from an exclusive private signing conducted with Franklin, this is one of only a few signed photos known to exist with this particular inscriptions, as Franklin does not like to write anything other than the date. Accompanying the photograph is a photo taken at the time of the signing, and a COA from PSA/DNA.
