Few Yankee players have made such an impact upon their arrival as Derek Jeter did in 1996. He seemed to be the missing piece to the Yankees play-off puzzle and his Rookie of the Year performance that season helped lead the team to their first World Series Championship in eighteen years. With Jeter at the helm, the Yankees won five World Series', 7 AL pennants, and an astounding 13 Division titles. Like Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, and Mantle before him, Jeter personfied the Yankees dynasty of the 90s and 00s, and there is no doubt that one day his plaque will hang both in Yankee Stadium's Monument Park and Cooperstown. Jeter batted .297 with 18 home runs, 75 RBI, and 124 runs scored in the 2002 season. Offered here is a Yankees home jersey used by Jeter in the 2002 season, showing moderate use. All appropriate tagging is affixed, including a 2002 tag below the Russell Authentic label. Authenticated by Steiner Sports, exclusive collectible authority on all Derek Jeter & Yankees memorabilia, with a certificate of authenticity.
