Most people associate acting as Ronald Reagan's first major job of notoriety, however that is not the case. Prior to becoming an actor, Reagan enjoyed a successful career as the play-by-play radio commentator for the Chicago Cubs during the 1930s. In fact, it was during Cubs spring training out in California that the handsome, well-spoken gent got a screen test and subsequent film contract with Warner Brothers. Paying homage to the Gipper's days as a big league broadcaster, presented here is a Davey Lopes Autograph-style baseball signed on the side panel in black ink with a superb signature. The ball exhibits some mild toning throughout but is otherwise fine. Authentic Reagan signed baseballs have virtually vanished and are one of the most coveted signed baseballs in all of the hobby. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
