On April 18, 1942, sixteen B-245B bombers, each with a crew of five men, launched an air raid on Tokyo, led by Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Doolittle. Offered here is a 20" x 27" artist rendering lithograph of one of the planes taking off from the aircraft carrier that morning, signed by an astounding 30 members of the mission. The ltd. ed. (1588/2000) has been signed by Doolittle himself as well as Charles J. Ozuk, Bert Jordan, David Jones, Bill Bower, R.E. Cole, Clay Campbell, E.W. Holstrom, Joe Manske, Travis Hoover, R. A. Knobloch, James Macia, Hank Potter, Tom Griffin, H.C. Mccool, Chase Nielsen, Frank A. Kappeler, William L Birch, Jack A. Sims, David J. Thatcher, Horace ‘Sally’ Couch, Jake Deshazer, David Pohl, J.R. Stork, Doug Radney, E. W. Horton, Tung Sheng Liu(Helped several crews escape the Japanese and was made an Honorary Raider by the group), and Robert Moak (artist). In fine condition with some handling wear, especially to the edges. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
