Most people know Jimmy Page as getting his start with the Yardbirds and eventually moving on as the legendary guitarist of Led Zeppelin. However, before Zeppelin, and before the Yardbirds, a young Jimmy page had stints with several other fellow musicians. He came across his first guitar in 1952, when he was just 8 years old, and by age 12 was teaching himself the instrument. After leaving secondary school, Page played in a variety of groups - "anyone who could get a gig together, really". He backed Beat poet Royston Ellis between 1960-61 and also spent the early part of the 1960s touring and playing with Neil Christian and the Crusaders. Offered here is an incredibly scarce 4" x 4" album page signed by a very young Jimmy Page from the grassroots of his career. Page autographs in any form are a rarity, as he has always been a bit of an elusive signer, but here we are honored to offer the earliest Jimmy Page autograph known to surface - even earlier than the previously known earliest c. 1963! In overall fine condition with a very clean autograph, grading MINT 9! Authenticated, graded & encapsulated by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
Led Zeppelin: Jimmy Page ULTRA-RARE c. 1961 Signed 4" x 4" Album Page, The Earliest Known To Surface! (Beckett/BAS)
