Offered here is a 12" x 14" March 13th, 1854 Presidential appointment signed by Franklin Pierce at the conclusion in bold black ink. Also signed at the conclusion by Secretary of State, William L. Marcy. Each men signing off on the appointment of Royal Phelps as Consul General of the Republic of Salvador. Overall in good condition with horizontal & vertical folds. Authenticated by Beckett/BAS with a full letter of authenticity.
