Near-mint black ink franking December 26th signature, “Free, J. Tyler U.S.S.” and addressed "Col. Christopher Tomkins, Mathews Court House, Virginia" on an off-white 5" x 9" envelope. Overall in fine condition with minor discoloration, two vertical creases, and a triangle of paper loss to the top, not at all affecting the signature, handwriting or stamping. Authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) with a full Letter of Authenticity.
