The St. Louis Cardinals had no notion of keeping Albert Pujols around for the 2001 season. Everyone figured he'd get more minor league seasoning before dressing for the parent club. But Spring Training provided a springboard for Pujols to showcase his talents. Every day, Pujols wowed the Cardinals to the point where they couldn't get rid of him. The now future hall-of-famer and 600 home run club & 3000 hit member never turned back following his rookie campaign. Slashing an impressive .312/.414/.596 in 2010, Pujols would be one category short of the triple crown, leading the league in Runs, RBI & homers. Offered here is a game used lumber from that famed season, measuring 34 inches, 33.1 ounces this maple AP5-M exhibits heavy use along with a near-mint autograph to the barrel in bold gold felt tip marker. Overall in fine condition with no cracks & heavy use. Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a grade of GU 9 for use & James Spence Authentication (JSA) for the autograph with full letters of authenticity.
