Fred Clarke was both a player and a manager in the early days of Major League Baseball. The first of the successful "Boy Managers", at 24 he piloted Louisville's Colonels in the National League. He then went onto win four pennants for the Pittsburgh Pirates, along with a World Championship in 1909. He also starred as an outfielder for 22 seasons. Offered here is an uncommon 3.5" x 5.5" Hall of Fame plaque postcard signed by Clarked in black steel tip along the bottom border. In fine condition with minor handling wear. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
