1961 was an exciting season for the Yankees. Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris teamed up for one of the most exciting summers of baseball that year, with both men on the chase for beating Babe Ruth's record of sixty home runs in a season. Injuries led Mantle to drop out of the race near the end, but Maris continued, and in the final game of the season, he hit number 61. During this season, Tom Tresh made his debut. Starting out at shortstop, he eventually made his way to the left field - joining Mantle and Maris in the outfield. Offered here is an 8" x 10" black & white photograph featuring the three key Yankees outfielders of the 1960s, signed by Roger Maris in blue felt tip and Tom Tresh in blue ballpoint. Overall in fine condition, the photograph has been matted and framed to an overall size of 12" x 14", with minor handling wear to the frame. Authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA) with a full Letter of Authenticity.
