Robert & Ethel Kennedy were introduced and started dating when Ethel was roommates with Robert's sister, Jean. They quickly became serious, becoming engaged in February 1950 and marrying in June of that year. The two worked together on both Robert's and his brother John F. Kennedy's political careers, while also raising a large family. When Kennedy was tragically assassinated during his Presidential campaign of 1968, Ethel was pregnant with their 11th child. Offered here is a nice family photograph of the Robert F. Kennedy family, featuring both Robert and Ethel as well as their first 8 children and their family dog. The black and white photograph has been signed by both the late Robert Kennedy as well as Ethel Skakel Kennedy. This stands as the first dual-signed item from the two that we have ever offered, and gives a pleasant insight into their family life. In fine condition with minor handling wear.
