This military land grant, dated January 14, 1803, has been signed by not one, but two founding fathers - President Thomas Jefferson and his Secretary of State (and future President) James Madison. The document grants land to two soldiers under an Act of Congress that grants certain lands to officers and soldiers of the Virginia Line. Dual-signed documents by these two are rare! The document is in overall fine condition with appropriate aging and wear, including some staining and creasing. The full Presidential seal is present and presents nicely. See images for details. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
