In a 21-year career (1890-1911), Cy Young established major league records that still remain unbroken: most wins (511), innings pitched (7,355), games started (815) and most complete games (749). He won 30 or more consecutive games five times and passed the 20-win mark 10 times. No wonder MLB named the annual award for best pitcher after him - he was the game's greatest. Young, who was named to the Hall of Fame in 1937 and passed away in 1955, has inked this vintage Spalding Official Little League baseball on one of the side panel. Overall in fine condition with even toning and minor scuffing, and significant fading to the signature. Please note that all inscriptions are written in an unknown hand. Authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) with a full letter of authenticity.
