Although historians and other scholars generally rank Franklin Pierce among the worst of U.S. Presidents, there is no doubt that he had a profound affect on American history. His notoriety for his lack of support of the abolitionist movement and his nullification of the Missouri Compromise do not make his autograph as a former President any less valuable. Offered here is a 1.25" x 4" cut with a beautiful signature from Pierce. In fine condition with the cut being matted to a slightly larger cut for added support.
