Don Baylor original 1998 All-Star ring, that weighs approximately 36 grams and approximate 11.5 size. A sparkling CZ round stone is affixed in the center, with two smaller CZ's situated on the sides (one on each side). The perimeter includes the following raised verbiage "MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL ALL-STAR", and the right-side shank portrays the classic N.L. Eagle/Baseball Diamond logo. The opposite left shank reveals a 1998 Colorado Rockies/MLB All-Star Game logo (reading: "COLORADO ROCKIES - ALL-STAR GAME - 1998"), and the inner band includes the critical engraving "AST©JOSTENS" (Astrium).

A "slugfest" to say the least, the batters who participated in the 1998 Mid-Summer Classic played at Coors field certainly took advantage of the high-altitude's thin air, with both League's combining for a whopping 21 runs! The American League would outlast the N.L. by a 13-8 score with Roberto Alomar's 3-4 performance including a round-tripper earning him the game's MVP award. National League manager Jim Leyland who led the Florida Marlins to a 1997 World Championship, would choose Rockies Manager Don Baylor as one of his coaches for this renowned All-Star match. It came as little surprise the game turned into a record-scoring contest including three homers since 1998 was considered the year of the 'Home Run", with both McGwire and Sosa eventually eclipsing Roger Maris's magical 61 single season mark.
