The Pittsburgh Pirates captured the hearts of the city when they won a World Series in 1960. In 1963, local drugstore retailer IDL Drug Stores released a set of 26 4" x 5" Pirates cards. Qualified as one of the tougher Pirates regional issues, offered here is an original 1963 IDL Drug Store Roberto Clemente card signed in blue ballpoint pen, "Best Wishes, Roberto Clemente". The card exhibits moderate handling wear and toning, as well as some errant markings on the reverse. The original Gatti's Drug Store, Indiana PA stamping is present on the reverse. A rare limited release collectible signed by the most beloved Puerto Rican player the game has seen! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
