In 1973 Stevie Ray Vaughan would still be looking for his big break. Catching gigs for Marc Benno's band the Nightcrawlers and later with Denny Freeman in the Cobras until finding his own with the Double Trouble in 1978. Between 1971-77 SRV would come and go from the Nightcrawlers filling in when needed and most likely taking any chance he could get to show off his abilities. Offered here is a multi-signed 8.25" x 3" Travis Bank and Trust check, dated June 23rd, 1973, and signed on the front by Marc Benno and pay to the order of Stevie Ray Vaughan who has endorsed the reverse and hand-wrote his personal information. For the modest sum of only $100, one could argue even for 1973 Brenno got quite the steal of a deal! Overall in fine condition with minor handling wear to the edges. Authenticated, encapsulated & graded MINT 9 by Beckett/JSA along with a full letter of authenticity from JSA.
