Frank "Home Run" Baker, who was once as bright a star with a bat as Mickey Mantle became, posed with Mantle at Yankee Stadium here in 1956 as the old-timers had their inning that day. Mantle, holding an over-sized bat in the photo, was leading the Majors in homer production that year. The Mick has gone onto sign the photograph in blue felt tip marker. The Type I photograph is in fair condition, with scattered tears, paper loss, and handling wear throughout (see image for details). Many of the tears have been repaired on the reverse with scotch tape. However, an original photo of this size (an astounding 14" x 17"), likely produced for official display, is highly desirable. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
