Harmon Killebrew once blasted a 530 foot home run into the upper deck of Metropolitan stadium, reportedly shattering two chairs, which were eventually repainted and never sold again. Signed as a boy wonder, the Washington Senators slugger caused fans, media and players alike to wonder if he might be the player to surpass the almighty Babe Ruth's records. Playing for 22 seasons, the "Killer's" gentle nature both on and off the field helped him be a versatile asset to keep in the line-up, playing wherever asked without complaint in order to keep his mighty bat in the game. He led the American League six times in home runs and was a fixture among MVP voting for eleven years. Offered here is Killebrew's 1955 Topps rookie issue signed by the slugger in blue felt tip marker. In overall fine condition, with some handling wear to the card itself. The felt tip autograph remains bold! Authenticated & encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
