Ultra-rare 1963 interview letter between Alex Haley & Malcolm X. Haleys historic interview provided for many Americans their first in-depth look at Malcolm Xs teachings and personality, and it remains a document of primary importance in understanding the still-controversial man and his philosophies. This portion of the interview is notable for some particularly inflammatory observations on relations between the Nation of Islam and whites. In part: "Mr. Malcolm, did you begin to hate white people because your father was a bludgeoned? - I loved white people long after my father was lynched. Nothing made me see the white man as he is until one word from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad opened my eyes overnight. Signed off at the conclusion by Malcolm X agreeing for the text to be released to the public. Overall in fine condition with the item professionally framed & matted to an overall size of 19" x 23". This item has been reviewed by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) and is guaranteed to pass their authentication. Full certification for this item can be acquired for an additional fee.
