Beautiful hand signed image of Mickey Mantle during the magical 1961 season that would see Mantle & Maris battling it out for the chase to 61. This scarce signed oversized 16" x 20" photo has been inscribed by Mantle in mint fashion "1961," in blue felt tip. Mantle is seen sitting in the dugout of Fenway Park following the final game of the 1961 season. A very emotional image capturing a competitive Mantle who just saw teammate, Roger Maris, reach the elusive "61 in 61," a feat Mantle would never quite challenge again. Limited to a very small number of only 61,(this being 14)this officially licensed image serves as a memory to a crucial moment in Major League Baseball history.
