Post dated Feb 8th, 1946, Kennedy would be only two months away from announcing his intention to run during the 1946 Congressional race in Massachusetts. Despite being amongst one of the largest Republican nation-wide "sweeps" on electoral positions, Kennedy was successful largely due to his “The New Generation Offers a Leader” motto as a youthful veteran.
