Ray Lewis is a once in a generation football player. Years from now, when football pundits look back to the current generation, Lewis will be the man who was the star on defense. He was a winner, MVP, and football's ultimate leader. This year's Hall of Fame induction is the cherry on top of a sweet career. Few true game used jerseys from the linebacker have found their way onto the market. One of the finest (and earliest dated) of those elusive items is offered here, in this 1997 second season game used Starter Baltimore Ravens jersey. Lewis recorded an NFL-best and career high 184 tackles that year, the second most ever in a season, and earned his first Pro Bowl berth at the end of the season. Few would cause a jersey to be pounded anymore than the Monster of the Middle, and this offering doesn't disappoint. The heavily used white mesh road jersey is caked with gray and gold face mask marks on the numbers, while three enormous repairs are featured throughout the garment - clearly, Lewis wasn't playing nice while wearing this piece! All appropriate tagging, including the year "97" on the tail, is present. A Hall of Fame-worthy gamer from the newest Hall of Fame inductee!
