Roger Maris to this day is considered by many the real single season home run king, lighting up the baseball world in 1961 by hitting "61 in 61" - pictured here - eclipsing Mantle & The Babe in the process. With a record that lasted nearly forty years, two MVP trophies, three World Championships (two in pinstripes) & still no nickname, Maris remains a very important figure in baseball history. While his position in MLB history may be cemented, his allure in the autograph world continues to gain momentum. This splendid 8" x 10" black & white photo of Maris in pinstripes as he hits his 61st home run in 1961 has been signed in felt tip marker. Overall in fine condition with minor handling wear.
