Without a doubt, Roger Maris' single signature on a baseball creates much stir in this business, and rightfully so. Despite great success in major league baseball, Maris was ultimately a very private man and thus did not sign a ton of baseballs as slugging counterparts like Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra have. Also, of course, Roger died at a very young age and thus was not around during the era of countless card and memorabilia shows that would have gladly paid him stacks of money to appear as a signer. Offered here is a Rawlings official National League (Feeney) baseball, handsomely signed along the sweet spot by the legendary slugger in blue ballpoint pen. This ball has moderately heavy toning on most areas but the coloring is mostly uniform on the sweet spot and the strong signature, about "8" of "10", still has a great overall appearance and has excellent contrast. Accompanied by full Letters of Authenticity from PSA/DNA and James Spence Authentication (JSA).
