1805 Presidential Appointment Showcasing Impressive Signatures from Thomas Jefferson and James Madison!

Partly-printed vellum document signed "Th: Jefferson" as president and "James Madison" as secretary of state, one page, 15" x 8.5", March 22, 1805. President Jefferson appoints Lewis Bond of Ohio to the position of Collector for the district of Miami.  The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. Both the signatures of President Jefferson and future President Madison are dark and bold, easily rating a solid 9 overall. The document itself is in very good condition, with overall toning and soiling, none of which detracts from the signatures of the document's overall strong appearance. Framed with two vintage engravings to an overall size of 36" x 16.5". Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
