Ahhh the legend of Urban Shocker, certainly not a house hold name, unless you’re a collector of course! Shocker would post an eighteen and six record for the fabled 1927 Yankees, but sadly would succumbed to pneumonia just a year later, ensuring that the most unusual name from the Murderer's Row-era Yankees roster would likewise be its most challenging autograph. Here we find a solid 9/10 example in a particularly appealing format, endorsing a 1925 payroll check likewise autographed by Hall of Famer Ed Barrow and team president Jake Ruppert.. Overall in fine condition with three slight vertical folds & cancelation holes. Encapsulated & authenticated by PSA/DNA.
