A nice personal check from Hall of Famer Walter Johnson, this one is drawn on The Germantown Bank in Germantown, Md., which was where "The Big Train" lived in retirement after his baseball career ended. Signed by Johnson in his attractive signature, 8/10 to 9/10; the 1939-dated check itself presents in seemingly Ex-Mt fashion, but reveals some of the often inevitable folds and occasional light staining or discoloration. Johnson checks are amongst some of the most sought after signed checks in the vintage baseball marker. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
