Dated September 18, 1832, a 23-year-old Lincoln writes out the details a sworn affidavit from a Mr. Franklin Smith on his real estate holdings. Penned mostly in Lincoln's hand, with Mr. Smith concluding the document. Amazing to think that with the time involved to procure the matter that this document likely represents several hours of Lincoln's life! Well preserved and in overall fine condition.
