Beginning in 1979, when 20-year-old rookie Magic Johnson was drafted to the team, was an era when the Lakers played an exciting "run-and-gun" style of basketball. Led by Johnson's (often "no-look") passing and Kareem Abdul Jabbar's scoring, the team won five NBA championships. Owner Jerry Buss wanted the games to be entertaining, so demanded that the team play in an up-tempo style, as well as hiring dancers and a live band for their home games at The Forum. Offered here is an excellent 16" x 20" photo of four members of the circa mid-1980s Showtime Lakers sitting on the court in their warm-ups. Signed beautifully by all four players pictured: Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, James Worthy, and Byron Scott. Each player signed in silver felt tip marker. Accompanied by full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
