An original Billboard Magazine Sales Achievement Award personally presented in October/November of 1974 to John Lennon by Billboard Publications Inc. to commemorate the simultaneous #1 position of Lennon's singles "Whatever Gets You Thru The Night" and "Walls and Bridges". Measuring 12" x 17", the award features a gold-plated 45rpm along with an engraved descriptive plaque and images of the "Walls and Bridges" album cover. Housed in the original frame (scratching present at the edges) with the original Studio Frame Shop of Hollywood stamping on the reverse. Accompanying the award is two terrific images of Lennon and an Executive both posing together with Lennon holding up the actual award. The award has been beautifully housed within a custom 28" x 35" x 2" box framed display that allows for the award to be displayed along with one of the aforementioned images. Accompanied by an additional 11" x 14" framed display featuring another 8" x 10" photo of Lennon holding up the award. Impressive!
